I chose to come to O'Reilly for my car battery issues because of the positive reviews, but I will NEVER give my business to this shop again and STRONGLY dissuade other women from coming to this shop. I had an extremely inappropriate experience with the employee Nicholas Henderson. He informed me that I needed an alternator, but I had a hard time getting any information regarding next steps as Nicholas continuously asked me if I had a boyfriend and for my social media handles so that he could contact me. I was already having a stressful morning- I depend heavily on my car for transport and have been having issues with it recently- and I just wanted a solution. Instead of proper service, I was repeatedly asked out and was unable to leave until I had given him my social media information. I will not be getting my car fixed at O'Reilly's- and certainly NEVER at this location. If you're a woman just trying to get your car checked out I would strongly advise against coming here if you don't want to be sexually harassed and want proper service to your car.

I had an amazing experience here the manager Santiago went above and beyond the call of customer service. I could go on and on, he gave me a discount on parts I needed and even came out and helped install the parts too. A great manager this store has and the staff as a whole were friendly. I would recommend this orileys specifically out of all the ones in ABQ 5☆!

So there are two auto suppliers on San Mateo does an AutoZone and an O’Reillys right by the main library & Montgomery Avenue. I stopped by AutoZone to get a quote on a front headlight for a 2013 Ford Explorer XLT the older white gentleman Behind the registerpushes a couple buttons on his computer and gives me a surprised gasp immediately followed by a quote of $140 for the high low lightbulb by Sylvania I was Unpleasantly surprised By the amount being that I only had $80 on my debit card and figured it wouldn’t be no more than that.. I pardoned myself and was going to head to the bank, but before I did, I stopped by O’Reilly. At the very first register was a African-American young man (wearing a do rag)(I describe him as such because I didn’t catch his name unfortunately) this gentleman was very friendly from the start I felt he was knowledgeable and honest….he started to quote me on the same headlights I had asked about in AutoZone…. Immediately I noticed a Big difference In the price is quoted.. After asking him why such a difference he explained to me that it seemed like the AutoZone employee tried to upsell me into an LED package, which included TWO lights (Instead of just the one I asked About ) It seemed to me that AutoZone employee Was more worried about their commission which is pretty common practice He explained to me. He asked if my vehicle was out front I said yes he walks outside. asked me to pop the hood and started to undo the lightbulb in question, he then asks me to try my highbeams and to my surprise the lightbulb Turned on and was working like nothing never happened …he explained that sometimes the bulb can become dislodged or a simple wire disconnection could happen and he saved me over $140 that I was ready to pay. I immediately shook his hand and told him God bless him. I’m a father of seven And money hasn’t been the easiest to come by as of late… He could’ve easily sold me a replacement light but instead he did the stand-up thing walked outside, troubleshooting my car and saved the day… I felt compelled to pay him something, but I didn’t have any cash on me at the time. I’m getting my paycheck from work tomorrow and I plan on going back and giving him 20 bucks for his outstanding stand-up customer service. God bless that gentleman and thank you O’Reillys.

I’ve been ordering a lot of car parts lately, and I’m definitely not an expert, so great customer service makes all the difference. I normally go to the O’Reilly on San Mateo, and every time the staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful. This week I had to place a couple of different parts orders, and Mark, the store manager, went above and beyond. He took the time to make sure I got every single part I needed, double-checked compatibility, and was extremely patient and thorough. It’s rare to find service like that anymore. Even though I live on the west side, I intentionally drive across town just to come to this location because I know I’ll be treated right. Thanks again to Mark and the team for the excellent service — you’ve earned a loyal customer.

I had multiple issues with my car, but thanks to Ayden, I was back on the road safely in no time. He was helpful and friendly.
